Doni
Doni
This artist, born in the Aosta Valley in 1932, showed from an early age
a special talent and a true vocation for painting. Initially self taught
and later with the guidance of gifted teachers, he served an apprenticeship
where he developed his skills and refined his techniques, allowing him to give
his paintings an incredibly delicate colour tonality. His favourite subject
is flowers which he paints in soft-hued pastel tones, so that even a bunch of daisies
become as elegant and noble as a rose.
Doni sometimes enhances the backgrounds of his pictures with views of the countryside,
mountains, streams and woods; of where he grew up, and for which he has maintained a
great
affection.
During many years of activity this artist's work has been and still is admired at important
exhibitions, attracting the attention of art collectors and art lovers alike. Doni has been
featured in the specialist papers and reviews on the occasions when he has shown in one-man
collective exhibitions. These among many others:

Turin - 1962
Milan - 1964 - 1968- 1987
