Jean-Piere Dubord
The masterful strokes of impressionism define the painting of Dubord. Jean-Pierre Dubord was born in Rouen in 1949. After spending years in the french countryside, he returned to his native city to portray the surroundings of his youth. While Rouen is a favorite subject for his paintings, he often depicts Paris, the Normandy countryside, the beaches of Deauville and Houlgate, the Cliffs of Caux and Etreat and scenes along the Seine.
He is known for his ability to capture the subtleties of light and color unique to each season. Dispersing a radiant touch, idyllically with subtlety, Dubord's paintings aspire to captivate and recreate the magic monent of a tickling perpetual suspense.
A carefuyl keeper of intimate nuances of light, Dubord continually reminds us of the seashore, where the sea meets land; paintings of light silvery waves where seagulls do their hovering dances and paintings of docks where the boats are ready to set sail.
These are a collection of paintings emphasizing light, in which the irises are lit with dabs of sunlight, as if he was to give the viewer a travel invitation.
Dubord has his own original approach to painting. His palette is rich in tones and is fresh with uplifting character. In a balance obtained between the element of light and nuances of color, Dubord's canvases reveal his own intense joy of life and love of nature. Dubord is guided solely by his heart and emotions.
