Jean Laurent (K.S. Lee)
Laurent was born on March 30, 1950. He is known for his classic scenes of marine history. Each painting is a recreation of life in the harbors of past echoes. His method of reproduction of light and air spread in time almost to eternity.
The artist is the president of the Korean Art Association and art lecturer for various organizations, most recently the Woman’s Assembly Hall of Kyonggi-Do Kunpo.
His travels are spent drawing and capturing the light of plein aire coastline. Laurent, a sporting sailor and ardent outdoorsman enjoys the adventurous sport of mountain climbing.
Laurent has earned a fine reputation and large following. Subsequently, Laurent’s art works are valued and highly treasured additions to numerous private collections. He participates in national art exhibitions and has shown work in the B.N.F. Gallery of Germany.
