Dean started painting in a traditional manner using his travels as inspiration to paint detailed landscapes. Soon, he began to experiment with impressionism using palette knives of heavy paint and texture. He began to mix soft brush strokes with bold layers of vibrant colors. The strong contrast creates a spatial quality, wherein all textures, colors and line are connected to spatial equality.
Dean’s paintings have found a strong collector base in the United States with recent show at The Chicago Art Expo and The New York Art Expo.
